Benefits of Cocobutter and Coconut oil

As I said in my first post, that I would be discussing the benefits of each Ingredient in my Anti Stretchmark serum. ExoticBella Anti StretchMark Serum contains 11 Butters and Oils which have been proven to either prevent or fade the appearance of Stretch Marks. Some of the Ingredients might not be able to fade or prevent stretch mark when used alone, but they help to soothe the effects stretch mark during formation. So, today, I shall talk about Cocoa butter and Coconut Oil.

Cocoa Butter: Cocoa butter is a pale yellow vegetable fat that is derived from the cocoa bean, cocoa butter is know for its excellent moisturising and healing properties. It also soothes and softens the skin and it is safe, even for sensitive skin. Its INCI name is Theobroma Cacao and it melts on contact with the skin. Cocoa butter has a very high amount of anti-oxidants, which means it helps grab up free radicals that could otherwise inflict damage on the skin. Cocoa butter is also found in chocolate products, but I would like to talk about its benefits for the skin.

1. Cocoa butter is a natural moisturiser which prevents the skin from dryness and peeling

2. It is a good skin butter that fights signs of ageing (i.e its a good anti-ageing skin butter)

3. It can be used as a lip balm to fight chapped  and dried lips

4. It is easily absorbed by the skin, which means the skin is able to benefit from all its nutrients (Try ExoticBella Anti Stretch Mark serum, and you will feel the way the skin takes in our Cocoa butter based serum)

5. Cocoa butter also provides a barrier for the skin that will protect it from outside agents. The anti-oxidants and other beneficial organic molecules protect the skin from both internal and external forces that can cause irritation or damage to the skin

6. It reduces Skin Inflammation

7. Reduces the appearance of wrinkles and scars

Addition of cocoa butter into ExoticBella Anti Stretch Mark serum is to:

1. Moisturise the affected part to prevent dryness and peeling, the skin needs to be well moisturised, so that the skin can withstand the stress of tear

2. Reduce the appearance of scars, that stretch marks might have caused

3. Improve the skin's elasticity, addition of cocoa butter into ExoticBella anti stretch mark serum helps strengthen the skin's elasticity so that the skin can easily contract after the stretch.

The second Ingredient is Coconut Oil:

Coconut oil is an oil extracted from the meat of coconut fruit. It has a melting point of just 24 degrees celcius making it ideal for skin care preparation. Coconut oil is used in natural beauty products because of its anti fungal and anti bacterial properties. It easily penetrates the hair to give it a soft and silky feel and I recommend it for all hair types to give a shinny and silky look (visit the store at www.exoticbella.com to get your ExoticBella cold pressed Coconut Oil, so you can enjoy the benefits of coconut oil for skin and hair care). Coconut oil is also good for the skin as it can penetrate the skin deeper than your average product because of its small molecular weight and the way it bonds with proteins. It is one of the best remedies for dry skin because its a good moisturiser and helps retain moisture in the skin. Coconut oil is also a good diaper rash guard, just mix some coconut oil with Sheabutter( you can get the Shea butter at the store too) and rub on baby's soft bum. (Watch this space for discussion on Natural Skin care tips for babies).

While coconut oil alone, might not fade or prevent Stretch Mark, it helps soothe and heal the skin especially during the period of stretching and contraction. Itching usually occur, when the skin is stretching and application of coconut oil helps to soothe and relieve the itching. This is why coconut oil is added to my serum

Coconut oil is also a good moisturiser, and application of this sweet smelling oil helps hydrate the skin. Coconut oil helps protect the skin against dryness and peeling that might otherwise result in scars if not prevented as early as possible.

Once again, try my Anti Stretchmark Serum and experience these benefits.

Watch out for this page, as I discuss another two wonderful ingredients that can be found in my Serum. The ingredients are Sheabutter and Vitamin E oil
